On FF-X how do you beat the first boss in Mushroom Rock?

for ps2.......someone suggested that I have Lulu's fira spell but I can't find it anywhere on the grid! So what else can I use? Don't say gamefaqs because that doesn't answer my question.

first of all u already start with fire, ice and lightening and water. The next one will be later in the game.

try combining different battle formations and startegies using dif characters and i think one of wakkas overdrives makes his ball light on fire try that?o.O

Use this map of sphere grid whenever you'll have trouble finding anything:

Fira is on it's the bottom-right side, left of the circle with doublecast.

However I'm pretty sure you can get rid of boss without using that certain spell.

If its still too hard for you to Ko him, stop by save sphere and lvl up your team using SS to heal yourself when needed. Good luck.
