I've played this game for 2 years now and i still can't get a good runway line approach using the heading and course buttons, and yes i have completed the lessons and got the certificates lol.

Using the Autopilot, Heading, Course and Approach controls how do i line up perfect for the runway???

  1. I have flight simulator 2004 but I'm sure it is probably very similar, file a flight plan for your plan of flight so you know what airport you are going from and what airport you are going to. Do this even if the two airports are the same. now if you go on to the GPS it will say 'proc' (procedures) click on this and it will say select approach, click on that using the arrows and enter, now it will come up with other menus, i use ILS [runway number] and then activate the approach. On your main panel in the normal cockpit view, there will be a switch which is either on nav or gps, put that on gps and now almost everything is set up. now on auto-pilot select nav and the auto-pilot will set you up with runway. it wont control your altitude though so you will have to do this.

    GOOD LUCK!

If it is different with flight sim 2002 or you need more help, ask me or you can try and google it or go on the main flight sim sites.

  2. Keep trying! Maybe just try using GPS and following a flight plan with that instead.
