  1. An antimicrobial is a substance that kills or inhibits the growth of microbes such as bacteria, fungi, or viruses. Antimicrobial drugs either kill microbes (microbicidal) or prevent the growth of microbes (microbistatic). or use the disinfection agent such as alcohol or aldehyde.

  2. Well, the question is rather vague, but in general you are able to limit the growth of microbes by denying them their essential growth requirements.  For example, there is often an inhibitory temperature for the growth of bacteria and microbes such as fungi; at this temperature, the microbes will not be able to divide normally.  Minimal nutrients can also be a way to limit growth.

  3. The question is a bit un-understandable.

Well there are different ways. Reduction in temprature and massive increase in temprature destroys bacteria. Microbes need water for their growth so remove water content from any object, microbes growht will be retarted.
