On Low Profile Motherboards is the PCI Express x16 Slot low profile only?

Question

I'm wanting to put all the parts (excluding PSU) from my Inspiron 530slim and am wondering if the PCI Express x16 slot is modified and will only allow low profile video cards in it or is the slot normal size I'm just limited by the case and psu.
