On Microsoft word, is there a way that you can see how many words you have typed?

bottom left of the window, it should say

Page 1 of 1 and then to the right of it, theres a word count.

Yep. Click on Tools and select Word Count. But do this at the start of your document, or it will only count from that point forward.
