On Most iPods That Have Broken Hard-drives They Show A Sad Face, But, What Does A Touch/iPhone Do?

  1. Doesn't turn on.

    Lol.

    The iPod Touch/iPhone uses NAND Flash Memory, which is electricity rather than moving parts like hard drives.

    If that memory is damaged, then the thing can't turn on.

    Now if there was like a corrupt file in the operating system, then it might freeze at the Apple logo or something.

    That's when you need to restore.

    Hopefully it's not the former...cause if the NAND Flash Memory was damaged, then you'd have to take it in to the Apple store.
