On My Yahoo home page, how do i prevent a search bar tip from coming back?

Nearly every time I open My Yahoo home page I get a popup search tip (about finding local movie listings) attached to the search bar at the top of my page. I can close it but I can't keep it from coming back. I have Firefox with adblock but that doesn't stop it.

Thanks

  1. It must have been entered in your profile page.  Click on the pencil in your yahoo toolbar.

Click on "Personal Options" -> "Add/Edit".  A list of your interests will open up.  Uncheck the one that says anything about "Movie Listings".

  2. You can edit the content of your MyYahoo page

or pages.  There is an area to click...

Another way to edit, is on some (I don't think

this works on all) features on MyYahoo page,

you can delete an area by clicking on the X

to the upper right of the area.  You should be

able to delete quite a few of the areas and of

course you can also personalize and add

    areas of interest to you.

If you are getting movie listings, you may have

to go to edit and delete the city which is an

entire area.  You can also delete individual

theatre listings.  I don't think you have to have

    movie listings.

There is a feature that searches for movie

listings right on the main search bar.  Mine

does not work automatically.  You may have

yours activated somehow.  You can also

try going to Help on that feature.

Come to think of it, I think this may be a new

added feature.  MyYahoo home page also

mentions that I can search for listings right on

my big general search button on top....I'm not

sure if you can get rid of that, or not??
