The Taxidermist in Canifis can skin and stuff special creatures for you, giving you the possibility of mounting them in your house. These special items are things like large fish caught rarely through Fishing or the heads of Slayer monsters randomly dropped while fighting them.

A stuffed bass or any other stuffed fish can only be gotten by fishing for whatever kind of fish it is.  So if you want a stuffed bass you need to fish for bass for awhile(since it takes some time to get).
