On Sony Vegas 8.0, the Video Event Pan/Crop won't open. What is wrong...?

It's the trial version and we've tried everything to opening a new project to closing the program and reopening it. Nothing helps.

I can't think how you could do this with a new project, but right click on the clip, look at the properties and check that it isn't locked.
