On Super Mario World 3 for SNES can you save the game at all?

It's annoying for every time you want to stop playing it deletes your adventure.

There is no Super Mario World 3. Just Mario World 1 and 2.

No - Sadly, it's one of the most infuriating games ever! It's amazing it ever got released in europe.

However, as you're probably aware, the game is filled with those silly 'potion' items. In the right places, these lead to shortcuts that purposefully shorten the adventure.

You should be able to save the game on the cartridge, it has been such a long time since I played it but I do remember it saved automatically when you completed the level.  Sorry I can't be more helpful but I am sure that it could be saved, I remember being able to save all of the mario games.
