On The Sims 2, Why Aren't My Family Coming Up?

On the sims 2 i made a family i put them in the house, when i click on the house its loads saying [family name] but then when the lot loads up the family aren't there and there is the only options furniture and building.

Where are My Family!?

any custom downloads recently? try move the Downloads folder to your desktop first,delete the cache files then restart the game.

Did someone die? Like just say you have 3 sims and a fire breaks out. All 3 die and the grim reaper appers. You save the game, but when you enter all the furiture are there..but no family?

Or try moving them out & back in again ☺☻

Start the game up again
