On Workman's Comp..my money ran out...where can I apply for $?

Let me explain...Still unable to work just had surgery...waiting for another surgery..I was getting workman's comp..that ran out..then I recieved Disability..that ran out too..so since I still can't work ..I applied for SSD in March 31...so the waiting time is 3-5 months for them to determine if I qualify...but in the meantime..can I apply for Walfare..food stamps..I have no cash coming in..I live alone...Please let me know what I can do...I do have a Lawyer and I can't settle till I get my second surgery, but it's taking so long..Thank you so much for your time...

Money just does not "run out" on workers compensation, you are not telling the entire story then.  Your claim must have been closed and your latest surgery is not related to your injury.  If your surgery is related to your work comp injury, you need to find a better lawyer as there is no time limit to receiving work comp benefits.  However there is no reason you cannot apply for other assistance, if you find you don't need it, then request your assistance stop.

    I still think you are not getting the right information, there is no time limit to work comp, it can last a life time in certain situations.  You need to talk to your lawyer, or get a new one


  2. Then ask your lawyer or his paralegal for suggestions.

    You will be paying the lawyer a very large chunk of any settlement you get......let him earn it.
