  1. For a seven day cruise is 10 dollars per person per day, in other word you have to secure at least and no  more than 80 dollars per person to tip the guys on the ship.

But if u want to be more sure about this call any travel agents and ask about the tips on your cruise line, they have the prices. Have a nice trip

  2. Customary is $10 - $20 per person per day that you can leave at the front desk at the end of the trip and they will distribute it to everyone that you came in contact with.

  3. Increasingly many cruise lines conveniently charge the tips to your room at a rate of $10 per day (often per person).  Frankly I think this is BS because it is little more than an admission by the cruise line that they pay their staff so little that they need to bill you personally to make up the shortfall even though you have already paid for your tickets.

Check with the cruise line what their policies are concerning tipping.

  4. http://www.tipping.org/

    This is the tipping page.

  5. Seriously -- You don't tip on cruises. It isn't done.

  6. the one you took with you (I think you'll get my point)

  7. the cruise ppl give u a recommended price to who and how. its done on the last day and its not in cash so dont worry bout that. its obtional too. when u get on, ull find out.

  8. Most cruise lines are just charging $10 a day to your on board credit card.  But you can ask them to take it off if you want to pay cash or don't care to tip. But the workers don't get paid very well and count on their tips.  Most crew members that get tipped send it back to their families where the U.S. dollar goes pretty far.

  9. I thought the literature which describes your cruise would acknowledge whether or not gratuities are included in the package price. Check with your travel agent to be sure, or the vendor you bought the cruise through.

  10. You will tip your cabin steward ($3.50 per day), your waiter ($3.50 per day), your assistant waiter/busboy ($1.50 per day). You may want to tip more or less to them depending upon the level of their service.  Those are per adult suggested tipping rates.

Some cruise lines automatically charge your credit card the tips you are suggested to pay.  I think this is a real rip-off but some people like it that way.  I take along cash in advance in the suggested amounts and make adjustments as needed.

There are others suggested people to be tipped like the Chief Steward and  the Maitre 'd.  These people usually have not done anything extra for you so do not bother.

Have a great time on your cruise.
