  1. The brace height is the distance between the string and the backside of the grip. This is commonly linked to the "forgiveness" of a bow because of the time the arrow stays on the string and has influence over the flight of the arrow. Thusly, the greater the brace height the more forgiving the bow. It also has the opposite affect on speed because the arrow is "driven" the shorter distance. Keep in mind there are many other factors that also influence arrows flight, speed, and forgiveness. Shoot straight.

  2. The distance between the back of the bow grip to the string- on a compound bow, this distance does not change. You have a bow that is very forgiving, although a little slower in speed then a bow with a short brace height. But this is a fact- speed doesn't kill, accuracy kills. Your bow will be more accurate, all other factors being equal.

  3. Brace height is actually the distance measured from the string at rest to the pivot point, for most bows this pivot point is usually the throat of the grip but not always.  The pivot point is defined as the point of contact between the arrow and the bow, usually either the rest or the plunger.

Bad things can result in brace heights that are either too low and too high.  You will notice more vibration or other noise coming out of the bow when the brace height is too low or too high.  So, always tune the brace height first before anything else.

  4. TJ IS CORREECT. YOUR BRACE HEIGHT DOESN'T CHANGE,AND CAN'T BE ADJUSTED.

YOUR BOW HAS A VERY LARGE BRACE HEIGHT.

IT IS A BIT SLOWER BUT MORE FORGIVING THAN A BRACE HEIGHT OF 7 1/2".

ALSO A SINGLE CAM BOW WILL BE MORE FORGIVING

THAN A BINARY CAM BOW,AND AGAIN USUALLY HAVE

    A LOWER FPS. RATING

THAT IS WHY THE CAM AND A HALF SYSTEM IS SO POPULAR
