On a part of one of my televisions is a green spot....what is that? And can I get it to go away or is it bad?

You have a dead pixel in the screen and there is very little you can do to rectify it. This is usually permanent. If you can connect your pc to the tv then you can try http://www.laptopshowcase.co.uk/download... to confirm this, it paints the screen then shows where dead pixels are occuring. If it is a dead pixel http://forums.pcpitstop.com/lofiversion/... has a good tip on trying to repair one but it isn't a fool proof solution and more often than not this is perminent.

You probably had some kind of magnetic device near the screen.  You can try getting the TV degaussed, this should solve the problem.
