  1. In the [[grand]]-scheme, hopefully a 0.1 .  I want to make a real difference for others, but I'm probably just 1 in a quadrillion who want the same thing.

I would rate a leader with serious influence, say Gandhi, at at least a 4. If anyone gets a 10, they ought to have helped [every] single person in a very, very deep sense (like proving how we all fit into the grand-scheme of things...or in other words, the meaning of life itself).

A celebrity, say Britney Spears, has probably the same rating as me. Probably has the means in her...somewhere?...to make a great change, but hasn't done it quite yet. Money just sitting on it's a** means zilch.

If the "grand-scheme" involves everyone (Which would be awfully nice), than everyone is worth a 10.

  2. I'd LIKE to think at least a 5 or 6. It would be cool to have some big destiny planned for me that would benefit/change the world. But then again, I like to think big, so... in actuallity, it's probably more like 2.

  3. Maybe I am not in it

  4. Many philosphers and theologians argue that our lives are far more significant than we ever will realize. We get caught up in the celeb driven media world that says only J Lo and P Diddy and Bruce Willis matter. But, in the final analysis, we are all very significant in the scheme of things and we really will not understand just how  till we ascend to our reward.

The fact that one exists is in itself a sign of significance.

I'd say all of us are 10 in significance. We just don't get it. We will understand just how someday.

  5. I think every life is a 10 on your scale of importance because every person will at one time or another in their life change the course of someone else's.. maybe for the good, maybe for the bad.. but they will change it. I have changed many peoples lives simple by either making good or bad choices. What I did affected those around me and in turn their life and choices effected others.

  6. Since in the grand scheme I exist and therefore am important enough to live.  That means I am a 10 to the people I interact with.

    Think about it.

  7. .00000001 infintescimle.

However, in my universe, I am very important.

  8. I was going to answer but I thought about it too much and I think my head actually exploded... O.O ... maybe I analyse it too much as a philosophy student lol.

  9. I believe every life affects/ influences  every other life it comes in contact with.  This happens on an ongoing, routine and often times mundane basis.  We never know exactly how our words or actions have influenced someone else's path;  therefore, every person's actions and life is essential in the grand scheme-of- things.

  10. Life is the grand scheme .

  11. On a scale of 1 - 10 we all should score a perfect 10.  The fact that God Himself left His throne in heaven, humbled Himself  to come to this earth  and freely give His perfect life for us is all the proof I need that my life, and all our lives are important to Him. On His list we all rate a 10 in 10.  On the real Grand scale of things without Him  in our lives, we are about as useful as the dust we are made from.   I will go with 10/10 as my final answer.

  12. 5, and here is how I come to this conclusion:

In the grand scheme of things for the entire world, 0, and

In the grand scheme of things for me personally, 10

and I give equal weight to each (showing I think a lot of myself, tee-hee) and take the average, and I get

    5

  13. Probably less than 1...

  14. Just a 1 like %70 of humanity.  You have to be a millionaire or billionair to be more important in the grand scheme of things on earth.

  15. Just today, I put my life last on the list of priorities when I fought a house fire.

Sometimes we must put aside the importance of our own lives for the safety of others.

I especially feel this way, considering a person with a family is more important, than a man like myself who has no wife and children.

With that said, I really can't give the importance of my life, or anyone Else's a rating.

  16. If you mean the Universe by your words "grand scheme" then we would be a "10", definitely, because we are all a part of the Universe. God made us in His "image and likeness" which means our essence is Spirit, and no way is that to be considered a "1". The Infinite Being is a thousand times greater than what we can think of Him. GOD IS ALL.

A favourite quote I've used on the cover of a book is:

Lift up your heart and rejoice

For you are a Corner Stone

    In GOD'S Immortal Plan.
