On a scale of 1-10 how painful is getting your ears pierced?

I am 15 now and have done it before, but the holes closed up and I am scared to get them pierced again.

3 it just stings for a couple seconds.

A 2.  Don't be scared but do have someone perform the piercing that has experience - a sterile environment is preferred.

maybe a 3 or 4 and it just hurts for a few seconds.

maybe take some asprin an hour before to help :)

I was young when I got my ears pierced the first time. That was around a 5 or 6, because I'd never experienced a sharp pain like that. Just the other day I got my ears pierced a second time and it was like a 2. It was like "WOAH" at first but it didn't last.

1. it feels exactly like when you pinch yourself with your nails. it really doesn't hurt.

well my first piercing was when I was three months old, and I don't remember a thing, but I got my second holes when I was about six or eight. I remember how my sister did it in the bathroom with an earring, it didn't hurt. I mean I felt it don't get me wrong, you'll feel it, and it'll be tender for a few days, but it's not bad at all, just make sure to wash it every single day! If not it gets infected real bad (happened to my little sister, and it was not pretty).

1 its not bad at all i have had mine redone a few times( i let them close up oops) but its mostly the noise of the gun that scared me

Well, let's see.....I have had a baby, put a knife all the way thru my hand by accident cutting fruit, stepped on a nail that went thru my heel, broke my arm and split my head open requiring 8 stitches. I am going to say having your ears pierced is a zero. Go do it, you'll have a lot of things hurt worse thru the years! ;)

Everyone's pain tolerance is different so who knows.  Maybe it's a 1 or maybe it's a 6 to you.
