how much would getting a tattoo on the sides of my ring finger hurt?

I would say like 11.  It would hurt so bad that you will curse your mother for bringing you into this world where it is possible to feel such agony.  It would hurt so bad you would begin to question your belief in a merciful lord.  It would hurt so bad your ankles will snap right there in your socks where you stand.   It would be awful.  

But it will probably look pretty bad-***.  Do it!

I just got my 1st tattoo and honestly it hurt way more than I thought it would.  It feels like someone putting a razor blade in your skin about 1/8th of an inch and just slowly pulling it around.  lol  I got one that took 3.25 hours to do.  He told me that areas with less skin and fat are more painful, like over bones, fingers may be in that category.  With something that small it will be over before you know it though.

I'd give it a 7 or 8.  I dunno,  never had a 10 before.

it's a tattoo, it's going to hurt.

everyone's pain tollerance is different, so you'll never get a straight answer.

Example:

I know of women who scream and freak out during labor, and think they're dying.

I, however, slept through 2 hours of intense (from what the Dr. told me) labor and didn't think it was that bad.

bite your finger really hard, if it hurts, the tattoo will too.

my mum and i are both tattoo artists,

personally im heavily inked and have had this tattoo done..

for me the pain was more of an 8..

as tattooing on thin skin, bone and muscle hurts the most.. there are also many nerves in this area which tingle a bit.. :)
