  1. can you get a hose to her and spray her down? she'd probably like a cool spray and you both could have fun with it.

  2. Let see, this is stuff I've done in the past and recently... some might already be said:

    1) Go for a walk thru the woods or to nearest creek

    2) Lay out in the pasture with them

    3) Have an overnight sleepover in the pasture (better trust your horse thoroughly though)

    4) Find a treat that you both have in common and share (1 horse I had in the past loved candy, pop, and sugar!)

    5) Go visit with nearby friends

    6) scratch him with a rake (mine love it)

    7) play hide and seek (have to teach him if he doesn't know how to)

    8) Grooming him and loving on him...always

    9) teach him tricks

    10) sitting back in the shade and relaxing

    11) taking a nap together

    12) teach him how to pull stuff (even if you don't have a harness, you can rig one up using your saddle and some rope)

    13) talking to him...tell him how you feel or how your day went, remember he loves to listen.

  3. give her a bath, ride her, trail ride, go to horse shows, ride with friends, ride bareback, ride in a halter and lead rope, do trot poles, barrel race, gallop, there are so many things you cna do with your horse to not be bored whether its on your horse on on the ground.

  4. You can try to teach your horse how to do a trick...like bow, or kneel, or count etc...

  5. As long as you start slowly and build your horse up to it you can ride all summer long.  We do.  We ride Thursday evenings and Saturdays from about 10:00 in the morning to 12:00 or 12:30.  We just take it easy and keep a close eye on them.  When they get soaking wet we typically stop and give them a few minutes break, but if you are just walking (we ride gaited horses, so go a little faster) then you typically will not have to stop.

  6. I live in california and it is so hot here

Well, you can train it to bow, or kiss. Maybe practice a bareback mount without a step. Or you can teach your horse to pick up a toy, or even make a small party with horse treats and invite others. I have more ideas if you want.. email me :)

  7. let her outside you could take her to some horse shows or groom her. go to some clinics. try to teach her new tricks.
