On a vz blackberry pearl 8130 is there a way to get emails to stop going to message inbox?

there's an inbox for emails, then there's a message inbox, but my emails go to both. i would really really like for it to only go to the email inbox. is there a way to do this?

  1. The Messages folder is a repository for ALL messages by default: e-mail, SMS, MMS. You can separate the SMS and MMS from the Messages folder, but all e-mail accounts on your BlackBerry will always still go to the Messages box.

    If you are only using BIS for e-mail then you can hide the Messages folder, and then only display the personal e-mail folders.
