On an internship out of state, with temporary plate soon to expire... what do I do?

I'm out of the state for a few months, but my car is registered in Ohio. I have the car here in Georgia, and the tags expire on the 22nd. How do I get new plates/switch them from my old car while I am down here? I won't be able to get back there to do it before then.

see if someone back home will go to the dmv for you and get new plates. as long as they're just plain ol plates they'll get them when they leave. then have them mail them to you.
