If you mean an aircraft mechanic low of about $20,000.00 to high of $80,000.00. Cars vary even more. A graduate of a good professional training program in either should expect around $40,000.00 a year though.....

As a new A&P mechanic, expect to make $13-16/hour. Once you gather a couple years experience, it pretty much doubles, and $20 is very easy to come by. But it depends on the job, too. If you get a high-travel job as a brand new A&P, you could make $20/hr from the start. And in time, there are companies that will pay $40/hr.

Fed Ex pays the best now at $37hr, average airline is $25hr to $35hr, regional airlines start at $14hr, contract work $20hr or more. But then it is of course based on bast experience.

If You are A licenced A.P.  mechanic  20 to 30 dollars an hour . it is a thankless job make a little mistake and loose your licence and job .if you really mess up  you can kill people and go to jail and or be sued . you have to be able to repair something you have never seen before fast and it has to be right . it is more responsibility than a doctor with no mercedes or big house .just say no you do not want to be an A.P. mechanic .oh yea and the FAA are a bunch of sniveling p***y a******s that are not happy unless you are not . if you ask the FAA something and they are not shure they will just say no and you have to do all the work to prove that you are right . FAA= overpaid lazy fat donut eating wannabees .
