On average, how many animals deaths am i responsible for in a year?

i'm thinking things like rabbits killed to protect crops i eat, rats of course, or turtles strangled on my plastic bags, animals experimented on for my safety etc

im sure it'd be impossible to include bacteria but what about insects?... thousands?

so how do i calculate my 'bloody footprint'?

That first number dwarfs the rest.  I would say, maybe, 57 billion animals killed annually (excluding insects and fish) and the world population is now about 6.5 billion.

Manda seems to have covered the question well - a staggering number indeed - except I don't see insects in there, it's mainly mammals, fish and birds.

Insects must at least double that - not just direct (e.g. in the house) but indirect through pesticides or slash and burn agriculture, etc.

I couldn't find any figures though...

My guess would be perhaps 2,3 times Manda's number in insects alone so approx. 40 animal deaths per human per year although if it were 400, I wouldn't be overly surprised!

Ps... after minutes of research I found out you are responsible for half the car accidents in Western Kansas and all of the boating accidents that kill people between that ages of 17-25 in the state of Washington as well.
