Honestly, it depends on what level you're at. If you are a beginner, then I would expect to pay something in the range of $30-$50 an hour. And really, if they are charging less than that for private lessons, there is a good chance they are NOT very good/experienced. If you are on your way to the professional level, it can be anywhere from $75-$200 an hour. If you are looking for something a bit cheaper, look into singing classes in your area. For the beginner student, they can be really helpful for getting up in front off people and getting over stage fright as well as learning the basics, and the cost can be anywhere from $10-$30 an hour.
