On average, how much would a vet make that does emergency surgery and check-ups?

I was thinking about becoming a vet as my profession, but I would like to know the salaries. As I mentioned I would mainly like to do emergency surgery, but check-ups are fine too.

Vet school is expensive and not easy. I think it depends on

where you live: just call some vet schools or even try to talk

to some vet's asst's by phone tell them you're researching

the field and any ballpark figures would be appreciated also

tell them you do not want the Dr. name and in a multiple

practice situation you'll probably have better luck.

In the rural areas, in the range of $ 50,000 $ 75,000 USD/CAD.

In the urban areas, In the range of $ 75,000 upto $ 500,000* USD/CAD. ( IE, most cities of California State & Florida State have the highest paid Vets ).
