  1. The big utility costs are electricity for the air conditioning, refrigerator, stove, and if you have electric heat, the heat.  So what kind of heat do you have?  Washer & dryer, or go to the laundromat or laundry room?  Laundry at a laundromat, apt. laundry room, or the costs of running a washer & drayer: figure $10 per person per week minimum.  Electric can easily run $200/mo., more with AC or heat in use.  And you might be able to get a cable deal for cable, phone & Internet for about $100/mo + taxes.  Don't forget there are taxes on all utilities!

The 3 of you should each budget $100- 150/month for utilities, plus $25/mo. each for household supplies (cleaning supplies, light bulbs and everything else), plus 1/3 of the rent each, plus your personal expenses like laundry, groceries, car expenses, etc.
