If Man and Woman are created equal.

And an average male is physically stronger than an average female, besides being more knowledgeable, more stable emotionally, etc etc .

From a purely mathematical stand point - How does the woman balance the equation ?

To re-phrase - An average Woman is better than an average Man - in what way?

  1. That's a lot of assumptions there.  Men are a bit more strong than women on average, although women, on average, have more stamina.  The average difference between the sexes, though, is less than the extremes of either s*x.  So the difference between Joe and Jane Schmo is less than the difference between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bill Gates.

Men, however, most certainly are not more knowledgeable or more emotionally stable.  There are some differences in how our brains function, and women's hormonal cycles can make us more emotional, just as men's testosterone can make you more violent.  However, scientists have been finding that most of the differences that we see are cultural, not biological.  For instance, men are trained from a very young age to be stoic and unemotional ("big boys don't cry"), while women get far less of that sort of thing.  Since we're supposed to be in touch with our emotions and you guys aren't, that's how it usually plays out.

People seriously underestimate the amount of enculturation that we all receive.  In fact, it's so hard to determine what is cultural and what is biological that we still haven't even figured out if we're supposed to be monogamous or polyamorous, biologically.  So, really, almost any trait can be overcome with cultural training, and many of the studies being done suggest that nurture is more important than nature.

  2. Equal doesn't necessarily mean exactly the same.  I don't have any problem saying that men are physically stronger - their history is one of a provider and protector.  When most of your ancestors were hunters and warriors, I think it's natural to have a body prone to physical strength and coordination.

The woman's traditional role was different, but equally as important.  We were providers and caretakers - we raised the kids, cooked the food, made clothes to keep warm, etc.

I'm all for women's lib, because I believe that women are intelligent and have a lot to offer society.  So in that regard I believe men and women are equal.  But I think that women also began to look down on their traditional roles and see them as oppressive.  That may be men's fault just as much as women, for not respecting what women do for the family.  But I also think it's unfortunate that so many women today have forgotten traditional crafts and skills, and their importance.

I also think it's really unfortunate that it's almost required for a household to have two incomes today, and so many women are letting daycares and schools raise their kids.  Raising the kids and being caregivers was a very important role, and it's too bad that both men and women lost respect for that.

I know this answer is long, but one more thing:-)  The Cherokee people have always had women in positions of power.  Men and women had their traditional roles, but both were looked to for leadership and decision-making. When the first delegation of colonizers (European-Americans) came to meet with the Cherokee, they were shocked to see women among their representatives.  The Cherokee were equally as shocked to see that the Europeans came without women, and wondered how they could have a whole representation of the opinion of their people without women.

Maybe if Euro-Americans had respected their women, for their smarts and their traditional roles, the way Cherokee people do, we would have a different society today.

  3. Well first off we live in a era were it's not about the so-called "average" male/female for the average changes on a year to decade basis.  Another thing is that no one period regardless of who your are (by race, s*x, creed, etc) were created equal.  We have different ways of life, ways of thinking, ways of communicating, bodliy features, etc.  I feel that your making it seem like a s*x thing (correct me if I'm wrong).  You have some men who can take care of a child better than a women and vice versa.  You have some women who are stronger than men and vice versa.  And the list goes on and on.  So as far as equality, yes, your right man and woman were not created the same, physically.  However, it has been proven by both man/woman that we are capable of doing the same tasks right and exact.  We might do things totally different, but we do, do the same things.  Remember the king sits on the throne along with the queen (no one is higher than the other).

    With that I say peace.

  4. A man is physical stronger than a woman, that's true, however a woman has more smarts than a man. a man tends to be like a fireworks display, all talk and good intensions. Rightfully so, however a woman, goes for the longer haul. We have more planning and thought, In the long run man and woman are created equal, It's the secrect of life to find the right one that compliments each other. To make two halves a whole.

  5. have you heard the phrase "hen pecked"

  6. Men and women were not created equal.  They were not created at all.  The male and female evovled because sexual reproduction was the most effective means of producing a flexibly adaptable and viable offspring.  Women have certain functions in a society as do men.  Men typically, and naturally, are more responsible for protection of the family and obtaining protein and are therefore bigger and stronger.  Women responsible for child bearing and more responsible generally for raising the children.  We are equal in the eyes of the law but there are clearly differences in the sexes.  Who is to say which one is superior.  I would say the sexes are pretty much equal overall.

  7. you wouldnt be asking  questions if it wasnt for a

    " woman "

women are a lot stronger in many ways

if you ever get a girlfriend you will find out just " how strong " women are

    all the best

  8. She can give birth to a child naturally for starters.

  9. I do not agree because it is women who give birth the men,

therefore, it is women who is  more stronger.

  10. Strangely, the female foetus is more likely to survive than a male. The female baby is tougher and stronger in terms of immunity. The male child becomes physically stronger as it grows, due to the testosterone hormones which also builds the muscles. Emotionally, the female is stronger (dont fall for the tears!) and more expressive. Males are conditioned not to express sentimentally and emote (and that can hardly be called emotionally stable) . It is also strange that nine times out of ten, the female is more active ( try washing clothes, utensils, cleaning house, looking after children, giving birth, shopping, ironing, cooking etc) than the normal male      (sipping tea, chatting with friends, smoking, eating, wooing, accompanying to the doctors, drinking etc) . The male is  physically aggressive (mostly territorial in nature) and is required and conditioned to fight wars. The female is psychologically and mentally strong as she has to protect her offspring . The female , when conditioned and trained (as in certain cultures) make equally good warriors. Females are definitely more neater, prettier and more organised than the males !!

Its a fact that the average female has more patience and perseverance and is more intelligent than  the  average male (just check out the local SSC results! ). Yes, more males end up as scientists, but that is because they receive good education- which the female is discouraged ( why be a scientist, why not a teacher? )

But the society (which is male dominated ) deems that the female is weaker than the male ( this helps the male to dominate the female).  But dont fall for  that myth... the female is any day stronger than the male ! There is no mathamatics involved here- just pure physics. Females matter!

  11. Well, it's more about equal rights.

We all are different individuals so even if we want it or not .. due to nature, to social iviroment etc.. in general we chose different things in life...

Because of this it's really sure that you can find some stronger women then some men and .. the other way too.

    Take good care!

  12. You obviously have never met my missus.
