The Y costs 82 dollars a month for 5 people.

A local gym here costs 49 dollars a month. You can get year memberships but I'd just test the waters before going in full fledge paying the year discount price.

Well locally in the Twin Cities, in Minnesota, You have costly places like Lifetime Fitness or Gold's Gym and then you have gyms for regular folk like YMCA, YWCA, and Snap Fitness that are a lot cheaper. 30-50 dollars will get you into the Y or Snap, while you have to make monthly payments equal to a car almost for Lifetime. In which case, build your own gym and invite your friends over and charge them.
