I was thinking about being a real estate agent, but I also want a family when I grow up. Supporting a family on minimum wage is not ideal for me. I was wondering how much does a real estate agent make in a month? How many years of college does it take to become one? What are the pros and cons of being a real estate agent?

  1. i dont know how much, but i know a few real estate agents in my church.. and they are makin sum pretty good money

they are well off. not rich but comfortable.

And thats even in oklahoma , everyones poor on oklahoma. jk

  2. ytd average this year has been 27,100 a month.

  3. In Arizona , the average agent makes $8,000 a year.  That is misleading because we have 90,000 agents and that is too many.  Most of my friends make $3,000 a month and live a good life.  No college necessary.  The pro's are that you are your own boss and you always have the chance to sell a $2,000,000 house and make a bunch of money. The con's are that you do not have a salary; if you don't sell a house this month you will have zero income next month. That will keep your eyes open at 2am .  Get to work. We are waiting for you to join us. /

  4. You don't need any college to get a real estate agent license. You take a course and sit for an exam.  Then, you get a job at a real estate agency.. You receive no salary only commissions.  In my area real estate agents are starving right now.  The market is awful and the banks are simply not granting mortgages.
