Well I lost my retainer and now my teeth are looking like I never had them in the first place and I am thinking about getting braces again and buying them myself? I was wondering how much do you think it will cost to just correct them and all that!! Or do you think it would be cheaper to get porcelain lumineers or what!! Thanks for your help!!

  1. Anywhere from $3000-$6000. I paid only $2000 for mine because of this great plan I have. www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and have saved thousands of $$ on all services and procedures. From my braces, xrays, exams, cleanings..etc. They even had my benefits active in 2 hours and was able to use it the very same day. hope this helps.

  2. On average, braces cost between $2500 and $4000, depending on whether you need top, bottom, or both. If you lost your retainer, it is usually around $200 for a replacement.  If you have previously had braces, you may want to call the original orthodontist that you had them with. Many orthodontists offer a lifetime guarantee, which means that if your teeth shift, they will put them back on to correct the situation. And no, I don't think you should get veneers as they have to be replaced every 8-10 years which will cost you more in the long run. Many orthodontists offer a payment plan. Ours was $100 a month with no down payment. My suggestion would be to contact the original dr to see if they have a guarantee, and if they don't, call around and check prices/payment plans and see who is affordable. Most offer a free initial consultation as well.  Good Luck!
