Question:

On average how much money do dental assistants make?(specifically in Kentucky)?

In my town there is a program I can take for dental assisting and once I graduate the program I have guaranteed admission into a highly competitive dental school to further my education if I wish. I'd like to go into dental hygiene but after I complete this program I will have a degree in dental assisting and it would probably be best to continue down that path if I decide to further my education.

  1. hey Katie,

Well idk about in Kentucky but in Texas they make enough to support themselves for about a month in a paycheck. So a pretty good sum I would say.  You can also switch to dental hygiene some schools prefer to have dental assisting before the big deal. Check up on the school's website and see what the prerequisite is for a dental hygenist. Good luck girl!

    Ttyl!

  2. A dental assistant can make anywhere from 50,000 starting out and 80,000 after some experience, it is a very well paying job, and kentucky is about the same as everywhere else.  Also once you have over 20 years experience and become an actual orthodonist you can make 100,000 dollars plus, good luck
