Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are positive only when the opposing sides of a question have equally active SIGs.  The problem is that when a SIG is comprised of very wealthy people and the opposition is mostly based in poor people, an imbalance has occurred and that can be very detrimental to the cause of those poor people.  Because for a SIG, money is power, money attracts attention, money gains results.  And a poor SIG is forced to make do with less money.  Sometimes, though, money does all the talking.  And there is where a SIG becomes a NEGATIVE influence - because it causes people to equate power with money.  We kicked out the aristocratic Brits centuries ago because in a limited sense they made the same error.

The farm lobbyist

Farmers use to get paid not to grow corn, Now must farms are owned by major Corp. and they are getting paid for it.

Pharmaceutical Industry lobbyist.

We need the FDA to speed up the process of getting Medicines to the people.

Since Govt approval of Drugs only taking 6 months to approve.

Look how many test that haven't been done have come back to bite us. All the heart medicine that are to dangerous to take, and how many more are out there.

And look at how the stock shares and profits have risen.

Lobbyist should be abolished, it just away for politicians to make money after they get heir life time pension and Medical Insurance
