okay. so i have been on birth control for a while. but i had some surgery and the vicaden messed with my birth control so two weeks after the surgery i started taking it again. i took two everyday for 3-4 days to catch up. and then my boyfriend and i had a long night. we had a load of s*x. he came at least 4-5 times before we did it again with no condom on. he barely came at all but im still concerned. it was stupid i know. don't give me a lecture. is there any chance that i might be eggo preggo-ed?

my birth control is called nortrel or something.

just a thought or maybe something like that

i have heard a lot of stories of people still getting pregnant while using B.C

  1. its very uncommon, but yeah there is a chance you could get pregnant on bc. it happened to me and i never missed a pill for 4+ years.

  2. you could be pregnant because certain medicines do intefere with BC. i'm not sure if Vicodin is one of them, but you should check with your doctor just in case.

  3. You can absolutely be pregnant.  IF you miss even one pill, it can allow you to ovulate.  THe way you were 'catching up' was likely not effective at all and it's very possible that you ovulated and you could have become pregnant.  However, the quantity you took (2 a day) could have had a 'morning after pill' effect and not allowed the egg to implant if, in fact, you did ovulate (pill if used properly keeps you from ovulating at all).  Wait 3 weeks from the night you had that crazy s*x and take a pregnancy test.  If it's negative then, you're safe.  Taking the test any time prior could give you a false negative.
