On blood transfusions, what happens to the donor's DNA inside the receiver's body?

  1. Red blood cells have no nucleus and cannot therefore replicate and transfer DNA.


  2. The donor's DNA travels around the body until the cells its in dies and the materials reclaimed.  Since the individual blood cells do not replicate the DNA will not replicate contrary to science fiction movies.
