On budget vacation in madrid?

how much do you think should I bring for a 1 week vacation in madrid? this is for pocket money only, i have surfed the internet and found some cheap hotels, so i only need a suggestion on the night life, eating out and a little bit of shopping.

Obviously it very much depends on how much are you willing to spend on eating, shopping and nightlife, but Hotel and Flight apart, 300 to 400 € should be more than enough for a week.

For the night life, depends where you go, and if you go out all the nights, a beer in a pub cost 2 or 3 euros, any alcohol like rum cost between 5 and 8 euros. In a bar is cheaper, and if you buy a bottle of rum, whisky or vodka in a shop the cost is between 5 and 9 euros, the beer 1'50 euros one litre.

For eating is the same, depends of the place, you can eat for 5 euros in some places, but if you go to a good restaurant estimate over 20 euros.

The clothes and shoes are cheaper than the UK and Italy for example.
