On choosing a new laptop.. which is better? Dell/HP/Sony?

Question

I'm not into Mac, so that's not an option. I'm not a gamer, but will use it for videos and music, as well as Microsoft Office. Not much graphic work, at all. Mostly Excel and Quickbooks. Need it to travel easily and would like it to be cable TV ready.

I fyou are just going by brand, they are all the same.  None of those companies make any of their own components, they all use the same parts as eachother that are made by other companies.  You would have to look at preferences in how they look, options they have, software that comes with it, warranty, etc to make a good decision.

I like Gateway, Windows Vista operating system, Ultrabright Widescreen ( media rich graphics and stunning  images )

I have had an HP since Christmas, it is very good, and never crashes, the only part that slow is start up

I just orderd a dell the computers are good but the customer servise sucks so bad. It took a month form time of order till delivery and yes thats common with dell so if ou can handle that than go with dell. If not sony. Thought about apple??
