On cnbc, there are two stock lines in the bottom?

on cnbc channel, in new york,,, there are two stock lines going from right to left...in the bottom....one is on the top and other is in bottom? why are there two lines in the first place?

  1. One for NASDAQ and one for NYSE


  2. Top line consist of Dow Stocks, bottom line consist of NASDQ stocks. Two different stock exchanges. Makes it easier for an investor to follow their stocks.

  3. One shows the stocks on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).  The other shows the stocks that are traded on the NASDAQ exchange.  It is an easy way for people to follow their stocks, and allows for more information to be shown.
