  1. If you purchse it on board at the bar you can drink it anywhere you like.  If you purchase whole bottles from the liquor store, they will keep them until your departure day then return them to you. You can not bring alcohol on board with you that has been purchased prior to boarding or at ports of call. They will take it from you and return it once the cruise is over.

  2. If you buy at bar on ship; if you smuggle some on (i.e. in your suitcase, but I'm NOT promoting this - snicker) Yes. If you buy in their liquor store - NO. All alcohol purchased will be delivered to your room on the last night of your cruise. (great prices on hard alcohol tho)

  3. You can buy a bucket of beer (6 bottles) at the pool bar and take it to your room.  They put it in a bucket with ice.  They will charge you a deposit fee for the bucket, so you need to return that to the bar.

Liquor can be purchased in the gift shop - they will charge you a $15.00 fee up front if you want to take it back to your room and drink it.  Otherwise, they will hold it until the end of the cruise and bring it the last night for you to pack.

We always put liquor in our checked in luggage to get it on board.  We have been on 10 cruises and have always done this and never gotten stopped.  But it must be in your checked in luggage - not your carry-on.   I put Vodka in empty large club soda bottles so you don't have to worry about them breaking.

Cruises are great - have fun!

  4. Yes.  Room service will bring your beer or drinks for the same price you'd pay at the bar, or you can buy drinks at the bar and carry it back to your room.

I took a small softsided cooler on my last cruise and put a few sodas on ice in my room.  My room steward refreshed the ice twice a day when he did the room.  (and got a nice extra tip for that too!)

I didn't bring any beer or liquor on board, but did pack a 12 pack of soda in my checked luggage with no problem.  I put it in an XXL zip lock bag in case of rough handling and then used the back for wet bathing suits when we left.

  5. Absolutely! Espeacly if you have a suite or a blacony room. They let you drink on the balcony and you can watch the sunset or the ocean!!

    have fun!
