  1. The best and most accurate way is to pump up your Tyre to the max. pressure. Put a mark on a flat smooth surface, put the wheel on the mark at the valve and roll it forward one revolution and mark the flat surface again.  Measure in MM the size between the marks and that is the setting for your computer.  If it requires only three numbers round the number up or down.

  2. It should say in the directions.  If you don't have the directions go to the manufacturers website.  If there's no table there to tell you email them and ask.  You should tell them the tire width too, it makes a difference.

  3. Roll-out like kipper recommends is the only accurate way to do it. I roll the tire 3 revolutions, measure with a tape measure, and divide by 3 to get a good number for the tire's circumference. Then multiply inches by 25.4 to get mm. Tire should be normally inflated and loaded (that means you on the bike.) The numbers found in the manual are like like getting your fortune told: they're for entertainment purposes only.

  4. should say in the manual

  5. From the manual for my old Cateye Astrale:

    26 x 1(59) 1913

    26 x 1(65) 1952

    26 x 1.25 1953

    26 x 1-1/8 1970

    26 x 1-3/8 2068

    26 x 1-1/2 2100

    26 x 1.40 2005

    26 x 1.50 2010

    26 x 1.75 2023

    26 x 1.95 2050

    26 x 2.00 2055

    26 x 2.10 2068

    26 x 2.125 2070

    26 x 2.35 2083

    26 x 3.00 2170
