On ebay there is this airbrush and compressor by powercat and i was wondering if this is a good item????

Without a link, I can't tell witch Powercat airbrush you're talking about, but I can tell you a little secret about Powercat airbrushes in general. They're the same as Airbrush City airbrushes, the same as Airbrush Depot's Master airbrushes, and the list goes on and on. They all come from the same factory in China. Feng Da Bi Da. I probably didn't spell that right. Anyway, these companies, and many others just order these guns from China and then etch their own names on them. They are however, pretty nice airbrushes. Especially for the price. I own a couple of them, and use them right along side my Iwata's. I did check out Powercat's ebay store, and they're prices seem pretty good, but now that you know what I know, do a little more research, just to be sure to get the best price.

Oh! It would also help if I knew what you would be using it for.
