  1. If the crashes were real, people would get tired of replacing their PC everytime they ran into the ground.

    :)

  2. Flight Simulator questions belong in the "GAMES" section. This is the "TRANSPORTATION" category for questions about real, tangible aircraft, not pretend ones from a computer game. You are playing a game and the question does not belong here.

Here's an easy hint:  If you "fly" your plane by putting a disc in a computer or game console you are NOT a pilot, you are a GAMER. You are playing a computer game, and your question belongs in the "GAMES" section.

  3. The idea of Microsoft Flight Simulator is to try to teach how to fly an aircraft, not to crash an aircraft.  Pilots who crash airplanes don't tend to have long careers (or lives).  There are plenty of video games with "realistic" crashes (try the Ace Combat series) if you're looking to commit virtual suicide.  Of course, Ace Combat also offers the option of blowing up OTHER planes, which has always been a more satisfying choice in my opinion.

  4. Two reasons. First, as has already been said, crashing isn't the point. Aside from that, it takes a huge amount of computing power to simulate a crash. All of the fragmentation, debris, particle effects, spraying fuel and flame, and cratering need to be simuated. That's going to use a lot, possibly too much, of the average computer's capabilty. Aside from that, you'd need a lot of hours of work from many programmers to write those programs and make it work. That's more money spent on development and time taken away from developing realistic physics and environments. Basically, crashes just aren't a priority compared to everything else that needs to be done.

  5. becuase its flghit simluaotr

  6. Because it is a called Flight Simulator, not Microsoft Crash Simulator. There is no need for someone pretending to fly to see the crash, it really doesn't relate to real life flying experience.

  7. you have already answered the question your self.

"simulator"  - thats the whole point.

    FSX is the best!

  8. becasue if they had real crashes on it people would do it in real life
