On freecycle if you want something that someone if offering what do you do?

Open the message and click "Reply".  Type something such as "I would like to receive the item if it is still available". Then click "Send".  The message will go directly to the person offering the item.  If the person chooses to give it to you, he/she will reply to your email and make pick up arrangements with you.
