Yes Scott killed Rick. He was back then nice but in later years we come to learn he was not such a nice guy. But neither is or was Scott or Scotty as he was known back then. GH is always changing history so who knows before Laura goes back into lala land we may learn she had another child no one else knew about. Maybe Nikolas is a twin.

To protect Laura, he (Rick) was going to go to the police about Laura killing that nurse Teresa that he was having an affair with when she was a teen.

Scott killed Rick but nothing was ever done about it.  Dylan and Lulu figured it out but thought it best to keep it quiet because of her mother's mental health.  Scott thought he was protecting Laura but in the end it didn't matter.
