I just want to know how to dial that number on a regular land line phone

  1. + sign means international exit code for your country. 011 is the exit code for US, Canada and many other North American Countries. 00 is the exit code for many European and Asian countries. So if you want to place a call from US to

    UK, you have to dial 011 44 xxxxxxxxxx..


  2. jwagner is correct.  The + sign only implies that the number may need to be preceded with the IDD access code for the country from which you are dialing from (011 from USA), when making international calls.

  3. I'm pretty sure the + simply means it is an international call

    to dial international calls, try this format:

    011 + Country Code + Area/City Code + Local Number
