On my IM page my name reads Nicola Henry available I want it to read Nicola Freeman available. Please Help me

go to http://account.yahoo.com Sign in then right above your name you will see Edit click on that then change your name

The answer given above is for changing the name as it appears when you sign in to your Yahoo account. But to change your name as it appears when you are IMing, you have to follow a different procedure: go to your yahoo messenger friends list.  Click on messenger, then click on "my contact details",  underneath you'll see a box in which you could enter your first, last and middle name. Enter your new name, save it and you're done.
