On my Presario 2500 Laptop, how can I tell whether my USB ports are 2.0 or 1.1?

probably 2.0 unless it is really old.

well the best way to find out the answer to that question, is to plug a usb 2.0 drive into it, like flash drive exc. and if it isnt then it will pop up and say plug into high speed port then in that case it would be 1.1

Easiest way is to go to Compaq's website and get the manual for your notie...

You'll probably "discover" so many little things about your unit that I guarantee you did not know, so do it now! LOL

According to the HP manual on page 67 it's 1.1
