On my TV there is a little video camera and 1/2 icon but it only shows whilst im watching movies...(help!)

I have a Wharfedale tv and every time i watch a DVD it comes up with a icon of a video camera and 1/2. Is there a way that I can get rid of it because its really annoying lol, any help will be greatly appreciated.
