On my car stereo why can i only get stations on LW and MW?

Every time i try to tune into FM1 its just buzzing and if i seek nothing happens. It only works on lw and mw, does anyone know why and what to do?

Antenna connection came loose? You'd still be able to pick up strong AM signals without it.

It sounds like the cathartic diode has been corrupted, try defibrilating the nano carbon energisers with tin foil. This should do the trick.

Hi, check to see if you have a loc switch which will only let it receive local stations and if there are not any it wont pick up if you are in a bad reception area, also check if you have two aerial sockets on the back instead of one on some sets they have two and you could have plugged into the am socket. Also check to see if your aerial is broken or disconnected.

lw.mw uses an inbuilt ariel..fm uses the exsternal car ariel..either its not connected or its c**p.

Your aerial's not plugged in.  (What aerial?)

You need to connect it to the ariel. If you have, the cable is naffed. You can pick up MW and LW anywhere, even without an external ariel.
