On my cell phone theres a Newtwork menu then an option where you can change the network band...10 pts B.A!!?

what does it mean? you can put it as 850/1900 or 900/1800 or automatic.. what do they mean and do they have anything to do with the reception i get ( cause its always crappy :[ ) and which one works best??

  1. Yeah that's actually the frequency. 850/1900 is for north american. The other bands are for europe. Depending on your company one will use the other.

    When you travel you can change the band to for better coverage/service. But please don't touch. It sets itself automatically.

    A quad band phone is a world phone (most motorolas and sony ericksons)

    Triband (nokia)-used in asia and popular in africa

    Dual band usually lg which is the worst phone company out there
