On my chord for C#m, what does the 4fr mean?

Playing some onerepublic on acoustic, and the c#m chord has a 4fr above it. What does it mean?

  1. My best guess would be Fourth Fret as stated by someone else, because when a guitar has standard tuning, C#minor starts on the fourth fret with it's bass note (or tonic note). Hope that helps.

  3. I'm guessing the "4fr" stands for "fourth fret"- not so skilled at guitar, though, so I can't really tell you how to apply that information to what you're doing.
